Potty training success!

WARNING...This may be TMI (too much information) for some!!!

We have been trying the whole potty training thing off and on for about the last 2-3 months. This is a new thing for us since Ian came home from Romania at age 3 already potty trained!Ezra has been good about peeing on the potty when we have him go into the bathroom but he has not had any interest in going in on his own and he has downright refused to poop in the potty. We have talked for about the last 3 weeks about buying him another train (he LOVES Thomas and Friends) if he would poop in the potty. He could talk the whole talk but still was not at all interested in actually producing! Fast forward to today--while at Target last night Mike bought a new train to see if the actual toy might help. We put it up high so Ezra could see it but not have it (we are so mean!). He was not happy that he could not have the train this morning before we left for daycare! So, as soon as we get home this afternoon he decides he is going to poop in the potty. He went in to the bathroom and was not getting off the toilet until he pooped. About 5 minutes after I left the bathroom he yells to me "Mama, see!!" Well, he got the train and I'm not sure how many more trains we'll have to buy in the near future (he is telling us he's going to poop on the potty again tomorrow...we'll see). For now we are celebrating!!
