We would like to thank all of you who wrote letters, called and sent emails and faxes on our behalf. We truly appreciate it! Much has happened since my last post regarding the pending adoption cases. The latest news can be found on the JCICS website that I have linked to the left but in a nutshell we have support of the US Department of State and the Hague Permanant Bureau that pending cases should be allowed to continue. An amendment to the law that was voted on last week will be added but the full Guatemalan Congress still needs to vote to include it. The vote is anticipated to take place the first part of November. We still have a ways to go before Ezra is officially ours. We are waiting for November 15 when our current judge goes on vacation and the case moves to a new judge. Please pray that the new judge will sign to continue the process and finally allow us to enter PGN!
